Femme fatales are conventional in film noir. They usually play a large part in the film e.g. persuading the protagonist to commit a crime of passion or they are involved with criminal activity and need help. Their costumes are usually sophisticated and seductive. These photographs are examples of what they wear and they show they wear similar clothing. Femme fatales are usually deviant and only care about themselves. As long as they get what they want they don't care about anyone else. They usually get their own way by manipulating other characters. For my film my femme fatale will wear a black dress with black tights, gloves and small black heels. Also she will wear makeup (mascara, blusher, red lipstick and eyeliner) and have a pearl necklace and earrings. She will also wear a fur coat or a plain black coat. Her hair will be down and curled with one side tucked behind her ear most of the time. I am using this costume as I want my film to look conventional. I want her to look wealthy and sophisticated.
